What’s Required
To use HPIBET Pocket PC Edition you need a HorsePlayer Interactive account. If you do not already have an HPI account click here for information on how to become an HPI member.
You will also need a Pocket PC device (running Windows Mobile 2003 or later) with Internet connectivity (via either WiFi, cellular network or Bluetooth). HPIBET Pocket PC Edition is installed as an application directly onto your Pocket PC. The application communicates via your Internet connection to our secured servers.
If you connect from your Pocket PC via a cellular connection you may want or need a mobile Internet/browser data plan as part of your mobile carrier subscription package. Check with your mobile carrier for details.

On your Pocket PC device:
- Windows Mobile 2002, Windows Mobile 2003
- Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 1.0 SP3 or later
On your Windows PC - for installation of the application via a PC / desktop:
- Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 or later
- Microsoft ActiveSync
Installation Instructions
Installation via your Windows PC:
To install HPIBET Pocket PC Edition via your Windows PC:
- Connect your Pocket PC to your PC via ActiveSync.
- Download the Installer package file (HPIBET.MSI) to your PC and execute it (or run it from the current location).
- If your device is connected to ActiveSync, you will be prompted to install HPIBET Pocket PC Edition once the Installer package file is downloaded. If your device is not connected, the software will be installed the next time the device is connected.
Direct Installation via your Pocket PC’s Browser:
Alternatively, you can directly download an application install file (HPIBET_PPC.ARMV4.cab) to your device by clicking on this link from within Pocket IE. Simply visit this site page directly from your Pocket PC and click on the above link to trigger the download. Then follow the directions on your device for downloading and installing the application.
Starting HPIBET Pocket PC Edition
Once installed, simply select the "HPIBET" icon in your Programs folder and then proceed to sign in. You sign in using your HPI User ID, account # and wagering PIN. The system is available whenever races are running, typically after 12:00 pm daily.
